Mi nombre es Sobeida German, tuve a mi tercer hijo el 19 de septiembre. Para mí fue una bendición de qué el señor me mandó una joven que se llama Allison, qué es una doula. Yo estaba sumamente preocupada porque no tenía familia aquí, y no había parido normal, ni había parido en los estados unidos, no sabia que esperar. Pero la misericordia de Dios estaba conmigo, me mandó esa joven que es una doula. No sabia que era eso, pero aun asi la conocí y fue un apoyo maravilloso. De verdad creo que toda mujer en su momento de parto necesita una doula porque de verdad yo creo que si no fuera por ella yo hubiera podido parir, ni saber qué hacer porque con el apoyo que me dio, yo me sentí como fue alguien en la familia. Ella estuvo conmigo mostrándome técnicas, como aguantar el dolor, como ayudar al niño a bajar. Realmente para mi fue una experiencia maravillosa. Ella se quedó conmigo a la mano siempre. De verdad que no tengo palabras para expresar lo maravilloso que es dar a luz con una doula.

Allison was a priceless resource and support for us throughout my pregnancy and labor and delivery. I had a 50 hour labor and Allison went above and beyond for us. She slept on my floor in my living room and spent several days with us at the hospital. From the beginning Allison helped us feel prepared and pointed us towards many trusted resources. She took time to get to know us, our goals, and really advocated for us and guided us through several difficult decisions by thoroughly discussing our options with us. Even though many things didn’t go according to our perfect “plan” Allison remained a calming and stable presence and helped us feel confident in each decision we made. Her physical and emotional support during each and every contraction was so helpful, and she provided short breaks for my husband as well which were much needed. No matter what type of birth plan you have, I would highly recommend Allison to be part of your support team!

Allison is a strong advocate to back what you want during your birth. So many doctors tried to push me into having a c section which I didn't want. Having Allison with me to support my husband and I decsions was awesome. She was so encouraging during my labor and eliminated any moment of doubt with positivity. She is very knowledgeable and has so many tools in her pocket to make birth easier. I was thankful to have her coach my husband and I as I naturally birthed my 9 pound baby. She stayed after the birth to make sure I was comfortable, fed and showered. Thank you Allison !!

Allison assisted me as doula for the births of my 4th and 5th children. I am so grateful to have had her there both times!!

She relieved much of the pain especially during transition using counter pressure.

My 5th was my first homebirth, and I cannot imagine not having her there to support me through the whole birth and beforehand!

I was overdue and was trying everything I could to help stimulate labor. Finally, I reached out to Allison and she suggested sending my other children to grandparents and having an at home "spa day" so I could relax.

Allison was amazing! She helped me relax by massaging my head, feet, and arms with essential oils. Afterwards, I felt so peaceful! She went on a 'power walk' with me showing me the best position to relax my pelvic floor. She spent a long time with me only to return that evening when lo and behold I had (finally!) gone into labor.

One of the qualities that I most appreciate for both births is the spiritual support she offers. I asked her to pray some prayers that I wrote for my family and intentions close to my heart. She prayed them during my strong contractions which helped transform that pain into beautiful moments.

Allison was such a blessing to have along side us. This was my first pregnancy/birth and I had a goal of a non medicated vaginal delivery so when I found out my baby was breech at about 36 weeks I was so anxious. Allison was so amazing at providing resources and support through the journey of getting baby to flip. She attended my 2nd ECV procedure which ended up being successful! When it came time for labor she was available over text when I first started contractions and felt capable at home and she was so quick to get to our house when things started to pick up. I ended up laboring for 40 some hours all of which Allison was right there suggesting different positions and coping techniques. Both me and my partner are so satisfied with the birth experience and a HUGE reason for that is Allison! I am so thankful for her!

Allison served as our doula for the recent home birth of our first child. We initially went back and forth on whether or not we needed a doula but are now so grateful that Allison was a part of the experience and cannot imagine going through it without her support. Her service was invaluable. 

I experienced back labor and Allison knew just what to do to help relieve the pain but also ensure I continued to make progress. My husband and I both felt so reassured by her presence and guidance throughout the day. She was and continues to be a source of great comfort and knowledge. I felt incredibly well cared for throughout my pregnancy, labor and postpartum period. I am forever grateful for and highly recommend working with Allison.

I could not recommend Allison and her services enough! She came to my delivery after a very long early labor process, and got there right as things really started to pick up. She knew exactly how to help without being too overbearing - gave power to me as well as to my husband. Because of Allison's amazing help and support, we were able to have a successful VBAC! I could not recommend Allison's services more - she is doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing, and we are forever grateful! 

Having Allison as our doula made my labor! We had our first home birth and she was a great asset in it’s success! We hired her in the last trimester after not being sure about needing a doula as well as a midwife. Without a doubt she was absolutely key in our baby’s grace-filled arrival. She is attentive to a laboring mother’s needs in every way (mind, body, and spirit). The emotional support she offered was immeasurable. She was respectful of our desires and wishes and supported us how we needed (even prayed with us!). She was thoughtful and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, but also that labor was progressing well. When it slowed or stalled- she would encourage me to listen to my body and rest when the breaks came. But then would help to keep things moving along and would push me to keep going, as well as offer some “tools” to help baby move down. It was my best labor out of 4! She helped me stay strong and go medication free for the first time by offering other supportive measures during difficult contractions, especially during transition. One thing we loved was how she didn’t replace my husband’s role but supported him along the way. The postpartum care was just as amazing as the support during labor. She was very present throughout it all and even helped to aid us in accessing lactation support through her network of colleagues. Truly a blessing to our family to have met Allison! She is gifted in what she does! You won’t be left disappointed.

Allison was amazing! She was knowledgeable and supportive and helped us first time parents navigate our labor. We felt supported and comforted while at home laboring and with making the decision to go in. Her experience with labor put us at ease. At the hospital she was right there the whole time encouraging, coaching, and supporting. It was awesome to have a plan worked out with her ahead of time so she could advocate for me when I was at my most vulnerable. Where do I start?! Hiring you was one of the best decisions ever. Even if the birthing experience wasn't what I envisioned (not because of you, obviously), you made it so much easier and having you there for physical and emotional support made the difference.

The prenatal visits, all the resources you shared with me, your energy during labor, alllll the laboring and pushing positions. All of these were so helpful and important to me.

Oh, and I can't forget about the postpartum visit where you helped so much - from holding Henry so I can breathe, to helping me find a great lactation consultant to help navigate the breastfeeding journey.

And I appreciate so much that you kept checking in on us, even weeks later. ❤️

Seriously, I think my experience would have been so much different without Allison. From hands out training, which we didn't get due to Covid from the ob/hospital, to day-of support. It was such an incredible experience and made it the best possible for both me and my husband.

These things were especially helpful:

• Information when I was pregnant and had COVID.
• In home visit providing information on thing I hadn’t know about or considered.
• Knowing the right questions to ask hospital staff during labor and delivery.
• Providing my husband with ways to support me during labor.
• Being an extra set of hands in the delivery room if i needed something.
• Providing reassurance that everything was okay during labor and that my body is doing what is natural.
• Resources including contact references and books.

Your support was especially helpful during birth, going over my plan and explaining options and showing us how to look up evidence based birth was so helpful making our decisions since it was so last minute with my premature birth. I appreciated the shoulder/back massage and breathing techniques because possibly going into premature labor is stressful! You helped me center myself and be able to stay in the moment when it felt like complete chaos. The positions were so helpful and oh my god, I'll never forget the counter pressure that was on my hips during contractions!! It felt amazing. I’m very grateful you were able to help me and my husband navigate the hospital birth we never planned for. You also helped me deliver my baby unmedicated, keep the placenta, and do a delayed cord clamp, which was all important to me.

Allison, I really am beyond grateful for you and the role you played as a doula for Brady’s labor/delivery! I had no idea going into it the significance and amount and quality of support, encouragement, and help you would be! Having you with us at home and in the hospital changed the whole experience, and I’m so confident that we would not have had the same outcome without you. I never would have been able to cope at home naturally without your moral support or the good ideas you were full of while at home and having the emotional support and practical help from you in the hospital gave the extra confidence I needed to keep going and to keep fighting for what was best for us. Being reminded of our options and reminded that baby and mom were “ok” gave much needed security and confidence. I am so thankful to have had a VBAC and it changed our whole summer and is so much better for our family and for me and I’m really just so grateful for that! I’m also so grateful to look back and know that I felt in control and empowered throughout my whole birth experience. I truly wish every woman could have that experience and wish a doula was available to all because it really really was so helpful and so valuable!
